Track down a citation (Get the article)

Track down the full text for a citation in Google Scholar.

The process

If you find a good citation (also known as a reference), track down its full text.

These steps are shown in the boxes (at right)

1. Copy the whole citation 

2. Open Google Scholar

3. Paste it into Scholar

4. Does it match your citation?

5. Click a full text option

6. Choose a database

7. You found it!

Off-campus settings

Are you OFF-campus?  If so, do the following set-up.  Otherwise, you'll miss out on full text articles from PCC.

  • Open Google Scholar
  • Click  (upper right corner)
  • Click Settings
  • Click Library Links (upper left)
  • Type Pima in the search box, and Search.
  • Checkmark this box:

  • Click Save. (If you allow cookies, this setting will stick)

1. Copy the whole citation

2. Open Google Scholar

 

3. Paste into Google Scholar

4. Does it match your citation?

5. Click a Full Text option

6. Choose a database (sometimes necessary)

7. You found the full text
