Graduate Exit Survey response to the question, Please share a favorite memory or any thoughts you have about your PCC experience: "Getting help from the East Campus [library team], they are so nice and willing to help you. They are wonderful people!!”

A handwritten card from a student to all of us: “Thank you!! For giving me the tools I need to succeed.”

🐾 Library Visitors 🐾

PCC's Vet Tech program dogs go on regular walks through the library. The benefit of these furry visitors goes both ways-- interacting with the dogs is a stress relief for students, and exposing the dogs to new people and environments helps their socialization skills to make them ready for adoption when they “graduate” at the end of the semester.

Charles Becker, Campus Library Department Head

The youngest and only male with three older sisters. I wore girl hand-me-downs till mid-second grade. Who could tell it was the seventies? At eight I ran through a plate glass door. When I was 11 I was shot in the leg by my friend. I managed to run home but fainted just outside the patio door. At 13 while sailing the Chesapeake Bay, I capsized my next-door neighbor’s 18-foot daysailer. During high school, I totaled three cars imitating Luke Duke (The Dukes of Hazzard!). While training at Ft. Bragg was struck by lightning.  I am a decorated veteran of the First Gulf War. According to the internet being a Librarian is one of the 10 safest jobs in America. That is why I am a librarian.

Christine Seliga, Librarian

Christine Seliga

Hello! I'm a librarian and coordinator of our Makerspace at the East Campus Library. I’ve worked at all kinds of libraries -- academic, public and archives -- so clearly I love Libraryland, but if I could, I would spend all my time traveling the world. Everywhere is on my travel bucket list and I've already been to Machu Picchu, Istanbul, and the Orkney Islands. I’m a reader, hiker, lover of science fiction and because I grew up sewing and crafting, I’m excited to be working on Makerspace initiatives and helping build maker culture at Pima.

Rose Wynd, Library Services Specialist

Getting curious & learning new things is my passion!  I am interested in All The Things  - especially helping to get your questions answered. Favorite hobbies include reading books, listening to music, gardening, mending, hiking, and exploring fun places in Tucson. I recently earned my Master's in Library & Information Sciences from the University of Arizona, where I also attained my Bachelor's degree in eSociety. See you in the library!

Lou Libby, Library Services Specialist

I'm new to the team, and I'm so excited to be here 🐢 Before joining the East Campus Library, I worked for Connect Arizona Digital Navigators and the Pima County Public Library. I have a Bachelor's degree in Information Science and the Arts, as well as a minor in Environmental History and Geography.  During the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked and volunteered with the Community Foodbank of Southern Arizona, which started my lifelong passion for free food programs and community access to locally sourced, fresh produce. Ask me LGBTQ+ reference questions and for LGBTQ+ book recommendations!

Sarah Thomas, Library Services Technician

I started working at East campus in the fall of 2021 and transitioned to Library Services Technician at the end of 2023. I am a native Tucsonan and love our beautiful desert  The monsoon season is my favorite time of year. Tucson weather is the greatest! In my free time I love to write and spend time with my family.  I have six children and 6 grandchildren.  I enjoy meeting everyone that visits the library so come say hi when you do!
