Transferring to The University of Arizona : How to Start The Transfer Process

If transferring does seem like the choice for you, it's time to take the next steps!

1.

The first step is to assure that your graduation is in order. Meeting with an advisor here at Pima can give you a great chance to make sure that you are on track to graduate or learn what you need to do to make sure that you will be. Through PimaConnect, you can schedule an appointment with your assigned program advisor.

2.

Upon assuring that you are on track to graduate, you will want to apply to The University of Arizona! The best place to start this process is through the university's transfer website. The application does have a fee which can be waived if needed and does not require an essay although they have an optional one that you may use to help give more context to your grades and time in college. You will want to send a copy of your official transcript to the university as well, this will cost money to do, but the fee is usually below 20 dollars. Once all of these steps are done, all there is left to do is wait for the university's decision!

3.

Once you're accepted, congratulations, you will be given a unique link to the university's Next Steps portal. The process is a lot easier at this point, everything you need to do for the university will be listed in the Next Steps portal like filling out some forms, attaching vaccination records and watching a few introductory videos. Here at Pima, it's important that you stay on track with your courses to graduate and upon doing so, you'll be set to transfer to The University of Arizona.
