Cricut Makers

Cricut Makers are cutting machines that use Cricut Design Space, a browser-based interface, to design and create cutting, scoring, writing, debossing or engraving instructions for a variety of materials. Create a free account in Cricut Design Space, import an .SVG file or create one, use a cable to the Cricut machine to a computer to send it cutting commands. Things to know:

  • The Cricut uses a variety of blades to make cuts. Please do not put your hands or other objects near the cutting blades.
  • Cricut Learn Tutorials can help with inspiration for projects.
  • Cricut Design Space Tours show how the design interface works.
  • If you have a question about which blade or tool to use, please consult with a Makerspace technician.
  • The Makerspace provides a variety of free, basic materials such as paper or vinyl. If you wish to use your own materials, please first consult with a Makerspace technician.
