Primary vs. Secondary Sources

E-Books: Short Stories

PCC Library Books

If you have chosen a very famous author (like Emily Bronte), you should be able to find entire books that discuss the author's life and works.

Search the Library Catalog to find books ABOUT your author.

Tips for seaching the catalog:

    • For books about your author, select "Subject" from the drop-down box and type in your author's last name, first name (i.e. Alexie, Sherman).
    • For books by your author, select "Author" from the drop-down box and type in your author's last name, first name.
    • Look for subject headings that include words like "short stories," "poetry," "biography" or "criticism and interpretation."
    • Use the "Request" button to have books located on another campus delivered to your campus of choice.
    • Use the "Modify Search" button to limit your search results to e-books only, or items located at your campus.
