The O'Reilly digital platform includes books, videos, case studies and audio books. Users also get access to exclusive O’Reilly content as well as resources from approximately 200 of the world’s leading publishers in business and technology. Topics range

Videos introduction

O´Reilly for Higher Education contains videos in IT and business from publishers such as Microsoft, O´Reilly, Pearson, Wiley and Manning Publications.

Finding videos

There are several ways to find videos on the O´Reilly platform. On the Home Page, you can browse,Recently Added,  Recommended for you or Most popular videos.  After a key word search users can also filter to Videos from the result page.  

Within videos, users will also find Case Studies. These are videos of real employees from well-known businesses (Pinterest, Indeed, IDEO) talking about how they solved real world business problems at their companies.

Video Information Page

On the Video information page you will find:

  • Links to discover other items by these authors, publishers or topics.
  • START to watch the video
  • Table of contents. When you finish playing a clip, you will be auto-advanced to the next clip. For each chapter and clip, there will be a progress bar and a checkmark to indicate when a section is completed.
  • Transcipts and/or captions, when available, aid in discovery and accessability.

Users of O'Reilly for Higher Education may also:

  • return to personal History and continue playing a video where they left off. 
  • put the whole video or separate segments of the video in a Playlist.

Video player page

On the Video player page you will find:

  • The progress bar (at the buttom of the screen)..
  • The video player controls. You can skip forward or backward, change quality and speed, use Picture In Picture (a smaller video player window appears, to be used on top of another page) and get a full screen view.
  • On the menu to the right you will find Table of Contents, Reader Settings and the option to add the video to a Playlist (for O'Reilly for Higher Educations users only).
  • For most titles there will be a video transcript available.
