PCC Library Guidelines and Policies: Filming/Photography

In general, filming and photographing in the campus libraries is prohibited. The libraries are designated for research, study and related academic pursuits.

In keeping with the educational mission of the College, the campus libraries may be used as a location site for student or faculty photo and/or video projects with permission from the Campus Library Department Head or the College Library Director.  Provide prior notification to the Library of your plans to film or take photos so that we can better facilitate your project. The persons filming or photographing in the Library are responsible for gaining all necessary releases and permissions from persons who are filmed, photographed, or recorded.

The Library may take photos, videos, and audio recordings at the Library and during Library events to use in publicity materials and will secure permissions and consent from persons who are filmed or photographed

The Library reserves the right to terminate any photography or filming that causes an undue disturbance, violates College policies or regulations, or endangers the privacy and safety of participants, library users, or library staff.
