  • Cover a few definitions:

    -What is research?

    "Everything you're doing now is part of the research process: topic selection, searching the Internet, searching the library databases, writing the paper, and citing your work."

    -What is a database?
    "A searchable collection of published information that's organized for quick retrieval."

    -What does it mean to cite your work?

    "Back up what you say (in this case, what you write)

    -What are sources?
    "Research sources" are simply the places where you get information to learn about a topic, like books, articles, websites, or even interviews.
     
  • Focus on the basics of using MegaSearch
    -basic keyword search
    -narrowing down your search by type of source and year
    -emailing yourself an article
    -finding the citation

     
  • Using the citation guide (no need to memorize how to format)
