SPEAKING RITUALS

Create your own ritual to prepare to speak.  It can be simple or complex, modify as needed.  Ask yourself:

How much time do I have?  A few minutes?  Half an hour?

What do I need?  Enunciation?  Calming my nerves?  Volume?  Relaxation?

Ritual can also involve props and costume:

Your favorite notebook

Your favorite pen

Wearing your favorite article of clothing or jewelry

Fill your water bottle or beverage container

Fix your hair

Take a few moment to meditate

Make it your own!
