Purpose:
- Find scholarly/academic articles about the history of your discipline
1. Open MegaSearch.
- If you are not on the PCC network, you will be asked to authenticate at some point.
2. Click Advanced Search (right side of the search box)
- Your search will involve three concepts
- A name for your discipline.
- The concept of a history of something
- The concept of an academic discipline
- In the top search box, enter a name for your discipline:
- "gender studies" OR "women's studies"
- In the lower search box, enter something like this:
- history OR historical OR origin OR founding
- You need a another search box, so click the "+" icon.
- In the last box enter something like this:
- discipline OR disciplinary
4. Select Scholar & Peer Reviewed ( left side, top).
