WRT 101 - Downtown - (Anderson): Search Strategy

Thinking about the source you need

What kind of argument are you making?

  • A practical argument? Cause and effect?
  • An ethical/moral argument?
  • A legal argument?
  • Something else?

What kind of source will meet your needs?

  • Do you have a critical gap to fill?
  • Do you need an example?
  • Do you need  someone else's argument to buttress your own?
  • Do you need to rebut an opposing view?
