Finally, you need to find a source that argues AGAINST your thesis.
On the topic page, look for articles that begin like this:
However, choose the OPPOSITE type than you used before. If you used "Counterpoint" articles last time, look for "Point" articles this time. These articles should contain arguments that go against your Thesis.
- Find one to present to your readers. You will cite its source.
- Then make your arguments against it. This is called rebutting the argument, or, if conclusively done, it is called "refuting" it.
Email the full text to yourself.
- Click the curved arrow icon. (top right).
- Click Email.
- Enter your email address. Send.
- You will get all forms of the full text in an email attachment.
- You can return to the online record to get the citation.
- Scroll down the email.
- Click the Permalink. (see below)
Get an APA citation..
- Click the "quotes" icon (top right)
- .From the pulldown menu, select APA 7th edition
- The citation appears.
- Click Copy to clipboard.
- Paste into your Works Cited list.
