Standard Voice Commands for GoPro HERO9 Black

Action Commands

• “GoPro start recording” – Begins video recording.

• “GoPro stop recording” – Ends video recording.

• “GoPro take a photo” – Captures a single photo.

• “GoPro shoot burst” – Takes a burst of photos.

• “GoPro start time lapse” – Initiates time-lapse recording.

• “GoPro stop time lapse” – Stops time-lapse recording.

• “GoPro HiLight” – Adds a highlight tag during video recording.​

Mode Commands

• “GoPro video mode” – Switches to video mode.

• “GoPro photo mode” – Switches to photo mode.

• “GoPro time lapse mode” – Switches to time-lapse mode

Shutter Commands

• “GoPro capture” – Triggers the shutter in the current mode.

• “GoPro stop capture” – Stops the current capture.​

Power Commands

• “GoPro turn off” – Powers off the camera.

• “GoPro turn on” – Note: This command is not available on the HERO9 Black, as the wake-on-voice feature was removed starting with this model. ​

Secret Commands

• “That was sick” and “Oh sh*t” – Both add a HiLight tag during video recording, functioning similarly to the “GoPro HiLight” command.
