Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature.

You may not be able to get access to all of the articles you find through Google Scholar, but if you find a useful article, check MegaSearch and the PCC databases and we may have online access through our databases.  If you need help Ask a Librarian.

To find Literature

Try the Pop Culture Universe (see link on the Get Started tab) database to find out which literary works were emblematic for a particular decade. Then try searching one of PCC's Literature databases to find information on that piece of literature.
